I'm an engineer. I tinker, solve problems, make more problems, then solve those.
Sometimes it goes well, sometimes not so much.
I've got a house and a chunk of land outside a metro area in the Southeast US that I am merely the curator of for as long as I'm able.
I'm trying to make the whole operation net zero. Its going to be a work in progress and will take a long time to reach that goal.
While working towards that goal, I'll be looking forward to state of the art technology, and looking backwards at sustainable land and home management techniques humans have used for thousands of years.
This blog should hopefully be a detailed log of the journey to the end goal of net zero, but may end up being a sounding board for all the other fun projects done along the way.
P.S. There will be math involved.
